Kary Radestock, CEO, Co-founder
Kary Radestock brings over 20 years of award-winning print and packaging expertise, and has worked with some of the top brands in the world. She launched Hippo Premium Packaging in order to fill a need for professional, compliant packaging, branding, marketing, public relations, graphic and web design, and social media expertise in the emerging cannabis industry. A true visionary, Kary helps her clients increase market share and navigate to a more successful future. Whether it’s full brand development or a simple new compliant packaging design, Kary approaches each project with passion, professionalism, and pride.
Julia Gosnell, COO, Co-founder
Julia Gosnell is a 30-year veteran of business operations and print production. Her experience includes working with EarthLink, The Kern Organization, Resources Global Professionals, Russ Reid and Arch/PMI Mortgage Insurance, in operational, financial, production and procurement lead roles. Her experience on both the agency and client side, along with her extensive business workflow and operational management background, gives Hippo the ability to develop the most cost-effective solutions for their clients. Gosnell is used to collaborating with multiple creative groups and production entities to create award-winning direct mail campaigns, packaging, promotional and retail items, logistics, fulfillment, digital, conventional and inline print production.
Teri Magnotti, Production Manager
Teri brings over 25 years of marketing, print production and management experience to the Hippo team. Teri spent 12 years at EarthLink with a primary focus on sourcing, procurement, print production, direct mail programs and branding initiatives. She was also responsible for financial operations for the EarthLink Marketing division - overseeing budgets, POs, financial reconciliations and management of the contract review process. Teri has extensive experience in short-run, digital, and high-volume production runs both stateside and internationally. Teri has consistently maintained successful, long-term relationships with clients, agencies, suppliers and co-workers, and she excels at delivering products of exceptional quality, on-time and on-budget.
Randall Huft, Marketing Strategist
Randall is one of the cannabis industry’s leading marketing strategists, and has helped companies grow from start-up to multi-billion dollar valuations. He has developed innovative advertising campaigns – including the nation’s first television commercial for a cannabis product - as well as highly successful public relations campaigns, and brand positioning. His clients have appeared on virtually every major news program, including ABC, MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg, the Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Huft has 25-years of experience in the advertising industry, working with major brands such as Toyota, Disney, Nestle’s, American Express and United Airlines. He brings that expertise to the cannabis industry to help companies create stellar brands that outshine and outlast the competition.
Laura Blancarte, Production Manager
Laura has over 25-years of experience in Operations Management, Sourcing and Procurement. Her career began in custom packaging manufacturing. She has produced and delivered a wide array of products for some of the most recognized global brands, including Avon, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Omega, Smirnoff, and Heineken.
Laura’s expertise includes an extensive knowledge of promotional merchandise, packaging, product development, logistics and worldwide distribution. She problem solves with a passion, leaving no stone unturned, and her attention to detail and work ethics help her client’s shine.
Account Executive, Northern California
Brian is our Northern California Account Executive covering the Central Valley to the Oregon border, as well as the Reno market. Brian has over 25 years of professional packaging experience. He began his career servicing the emerging warehouse club store industry. Through his career, Brian has specialized in paper and plastic packaging for food service, food manufacturing, and consumer product goods. He has vast experience developing custom print solutions with a focus on environmentally friendly packaging. Brian has worked with major brands including Dole Foods, Pepsi, Annie's, Peets Coffee, Sunsweet, Saputo, California Dairies, and Sherwin Williams.
Raechel is our Humboldt County Account Executive serving the Emerald triangle. Raechel has five years of professional graphic design and packaging design experience. She began her career servicing the emerging cannabis market through marketing design and brand creation. Through her career, Raechel has specialized in cannabis product development, cannabis packaging regulation and design as well as advertising and marketing design. She has vast experience developing customized packaging for cannabis businesses to help express their brand through packaging. Raechel has worked with brands including True Humboldt, Humboldt Edge Farms, Happy Dreams Farms and many other small family owned farms in and around Humboldt County.
Jim Hoffert is our regulatory compliance consultant. As a licensed attorney, Jim was a senior litigation partner in a California law firm with offices in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, specializing in real and personal property matters. He is also a licensed real estate broker and founder of Realty Associates. Jim is a graduate of UCLA (magna cum laude) with a degree in public law, and has a law degree from USC. Jim is providing advice and insight to help assure that our clients’ packaging designs stay in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Tanya Parker, Financial Controls
Tanya Parker brings 20-years of marketing finance and analysis experience to Hippo. Tanya earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Management in 2004, with an emphasis on business finance and accounting. Tanya has expertise in budgeting, reconciliation, and developing process improvements and operating procedures for direct marketing production, retail packaging and marketing finance. She has worked for major corporations, including EarthLink, Superior Communications Products, and Merrill Corporation.
Leslie Tiano, Marketing & Design Specialist
Leslie has over 30-years experience in visual arts, printing, marketing and advertising. She is an artist in the truest sense of the word, and has a vast portfolio of paintings and applied design in media such as metal, fiber, wood, ceramics and glass. She has worked with organizations such as Uniroyal, Griffin, Phelps Dodge, San Diego Convention Center, and Petersen Publishing. Additionally, Leslie brings an intimate industry knowledge to her work, as she has managed cannabis farms in Humboldt, Carpinteria and San Diego.
Leslie is also a successful entrepreneur and knows first-hand how thoughtful and creative design can help companies flourish.
Monica lui, Marketing Project Manager Intern
Monica is assisting in various capacities, while learning from our team of experts. Monica is currently attending California State University, Long Beach, studying International Business and Marketing. She has experience in marketing, and has worked in event planning, social media management, and digital marketing. Monica is excited to be working with the best in the business and looks forward to making many valuable contributions.
Jeff has had a long career in print advertising and marketing in the Los Angeles area, working in entertainment for the Walt Disney Company and then in Healthcare for Anthem and Kaiser Permanente. Jeff was considered an expert in Medicare marketing, where he made sure that all materials were compliant with government regulations. Now, Jeff brings his unique combination of entertainment and compliance to Hippo Premium Packaging and to Your Company. A specialist in all forms of media from outdoor advertising to direct mail and everything in between, Jeff is ready to help you develop your brand and bring your product safely and efficiently to market.

Jacques consulted in the Healthcare industry servicing the likes of Anthem Blue Cross, Kaiser Permanente, CVS, Aetna and other industry leaders. As he progressed in his career, Jacques became a respected solution provider for his clients’ branding, packaging, signage, printing, direct marketing, event management, fulfillment and promotional product needs. Account Executive, Colorado
Tom has all the skill necessary to help Hippo customers succeed. He has 25-years experience in publishing, printing and the visual arts, and 7-years experience in the Colorado medical marijuana business. He not only knows how to create packaging that sells, but as a former cannabis grower, he also has a keen understanding of the nuances of the marijuana business. As a former president of a publishing company, Tom knows the printing business and will help his clients get the best bang for the buck. Tom will be based in Denver, and providing insight and expertise to Hippo’s clients in the Rocky Mountain region..
